Birdie for Hue: The Golfers Tournament recorded 156 birdies, 1 eagle to support flood victims

156 Birdies and 1 Eagle — When Performance Becomes Philanthropy

Over two consecutive rounds in a single day, nearly 72 golfers battled through harsh weather conditions, showcasing not only skill but also remarkable spirit. Alongside the fierce race for the championship title, Birdie for Huế became the emotional thread uniting the entire tournament.

According to the Organizing Committee, the field collectively produced 156 birdies and 1 eagle — an impressive testament to the tournament’s competitive quality. Notably, golfer Nguyễn Nhất Long delivered a spectacular eagle on the 18th hole with a hole-out from the bunker, a breathtaking shot that drew applause from both spectators and fellow competitors.

That moment went beyond pure technical brilliance — it symbolized the true essence of the charity campaign, where excellence on the course transforms into acts of generosity.

With the message “Each Birdie is a Joy, Each Putt a Gift,” The Golfers Tournament 2025 tied athletic achievement directly to philanthropy. Under the program’s structure, each birdie equated to 200,000 VND, and each eagle 5 million VND. In total, golfers contributed 36.2 million VND to Birdie for Huế.

Going even further, Trần Viết Thắng Notary Office, one of the event’s main sponsors, rounded up the amount to a full 40 million VND, reinforcing the collective goodwill behind this meaningful cause for central Vietnam.

Birdie for Huế — From the Fairway to the Heart

Birdie for Huế is more than a fundraising campaign; it is a symbol of golf’s human spirit — where personal success becomes a force for community good. The initiative aims to support children and families in Thừa Thiên Huế Province, particularly those affected by severe floods.

Through this effort, the Organizing Committee seeks to affirm that golf is not only a sport of passion and challenge but also a bridge for compassion, strengthening community bonds under the guiding vision of “Golf for Development.”

From The Golfers Tournament to the Golf for Development Journey

The Golfers Tournament 2025 was conceived not merely to crown a champion, but to lay the groundwork for a sustainable golf culture in Vietnam — where performance, culture, and social responsibility converge. Birdie for Huế stands as an integral part of the broader Golf for Development initiative, which focuses on community growth, education, and environmental awareness.

From these humble beginnings at Thanh Lanh Valley, the ripple effect of The Golfers Tournament will continue — built on the belief that every swing, every birdie can spark meaningful change.

As night fell over Thanh Lanh Golf Course and the tournament drew to a close, the Birdie for Huế journey was just beginning. The 40 million VND raised was more than a figure — it was proof of the unity among golfers, sponsors, and the wider community.

From a hole-out in a bunker to a heartfelt act of kindness, The Golfers Tournament 2025 delivered a profound message: Play Better – Live Better – And Together, Spread Vietnamese Values.
